How would we recognise Christ's return? (serious question)
by UpAndAtom inhe couldn't come back as black, because then the whites wouldn't trust not identify with him.
he couldn't come back as white, because the blacks wouldn't trust him.
if he appeared in china or asia (the west wouldn't accept him) and visa versa.. has anyone considered the possablity that a meeting is currently taking place in heaven, and god, jesus and a few good spirits are sitting around trying to figure out the best way to positively influence us?

If you want to look at it scripturally, UpandAtom.....remember it was written that he would return in the same manner that he left.....we'll see him in the clouds....now we just hafta figure out what those clouds are.....is it the ones we see in the sky? Or is it clouds of something else?.....Since He was the word made flesh, could it be clouded words? Words made to be indefinite in their meanings, thus cloudy, in order that we, as humans, would eventually quit looking to God's word for succor and begin just looking to God, to whom Jesus was quoted as saying that he would return the kingdom ....."outside the book" so-to-speak...?

Non-believers......... Do they "bash" Believers too hard?
by gumby ini have been beginning to wonder if those that have come to disbelieve in the bible as god's word, and those who believe in no god at all............use the wrong verbage here.
is it disrespectful to those who believe.... for non-believers to say things against what believers hold so precious?
many have moved on, or..... mentioned they do not post their true feeling here on certain subjects for fear they will be harrassed by others here.. first off....i'll admit i'm a guilty one for doing this very thing but have been wondering if i'm out of line as well as others who post similar ideas in the same type of manner.

Excellent posts here....and great thread......just wanted to say that it should be understandable to all on this site, as xdubs, that there is initially an open and often vitriolic hostility often displayed by those somewhat freshly freed from the borg....against the borg, any borganizers (JWs) and often other religious entities and their supporters....however, there isn't likely anyone here that doesn't know how to use their mouse to click on another thread, another post, which would be more to their liking, if they can't find anything supportive, empathetic or reassuring to reply to such hostile or "bashing" posts.....it's a way to show tolerance and compassion.....to let those suffering angst over the WT-BATS and anything that reeks of religion.....work through their hostilities.....until they can get past the anger....or if not get past it, to at least learn to control it.
